The MHD2 series is an improved version of one of our more popular luminaires. It is UL certified for hazardous environments where protection is needed from liquids or gasses, dusts and fibers.
The improvements begin with the housing, which is twice as thick as our previous model. The gaskets are improved for higher temperatures and the lens is four times thicker. The hubs are also improved with the addition to threading and increased thickness for additional housing strength. The addition of a stainless steel lens tether also adds to the performance and value of this versatile fixture. Being certified for wet locations and inside drip proof, it is widely used in offshore oil rigs, chemical plants, petrochemical plants, mining, waste water treatment plants, warehouses, food processing, airports, military facilities and other areas where hazardous, wet/damp & corrosive environments are an issue.

Available with T12, T8 and T5HO lamps with up to three lamps per fixture, a lamping configuration is available to suit your needs. The MHD2 is also available in a wide range of AC and DC voltage configurations and with an emergency battery backup option.
